test

This is a load of text about things and I don’t really know what to say or how to type lorem ipsum.

  • Had to go out today, my son drove me to hospital. The dog has decided if I can get up and go out, I don't need her to bring her dinner any more. She brought her dish and waited, refused bring any food. I must be getting better.

  • Well now, that's the second night in a row the 9pm stackpot has had a winning postcode with only the last two letters differing from mine. I can feel a win coming. 😎

    • Are you in the vicinity of postcode fault lines?🌋

If they erupt, you may have to re-design your whole house.

  • Arrrghhh! A DG7 in the Stackpot, but not mine; and no, it's not anybody that I know!

::Stomps off to make a calming cuppa::

    • Try googling it on a different browser or zoom in, it will give you a better idea where it is.

    • Another anonymous who doesn’t want to understand how the site works (or possibly anything)

    • @Anonymous - That'd be 'coz you don't understand postcodes and that they cover an average of 17 delivery points, so when you ask Google maps it'll stick a pin somewhere in the middle 🙃

Sometimes it's been known to throw epics like cows in a field and a cemetery, but in any case a postcode is allocated to properties / delivery points - not fresh air or lanes or fields as you erroneously claim.

PS - The prizes rollover & accumulate until claimed, so your secondary insinuation is also baseless & invalid.

    • Funny that !! Ive checked my area post codes ,,where abouts they are and found some to be on a country lane where no one lives in the middle of no where... money stays in someones pocket ??

    • Two sugars in mine please GrumpyGran

  • Where was everyone last night? Did I miss the party? 9pm Stackpot - 11 winning postcodes; 17 potential winners, none claimed.

    • That is very true Barrie. I saw that on a TV program years ago.

    • The spaghetti should have been ripe it's normally harvested on April 1st.

    • I ate some rotten Swedish Pollfish from the buffet at Susiewoo2's party, left a nasty taste in my mouth so I tried unripe green spaghetti growing on the tree in her garden, I thought I was dying yesterday, slept it out.

    • Sleeping 😴 But I did check this morning at least

    • If there was a party nobody told me : )

  • Finally after 6 years I have won something!

    • A bottle of shampoo in a tombola?

£5 off your next purchase of Stinking Bishop?

    • What was that something ? Tell us .

  • stand by for Revenge of the Fifth

    • Cast of thousands, but was Count Dracula in it?

    • Nah, it's where an old guy in a black robe claims the Jedi are trying to take over.

    • Is that where they shoot someone in the head while he's being held down by someone else?

  • Has anyone done the "Happy Star Wars Day" joke yet? Anyway....Happy Star Wars Day y'all! 😁😂

    • @Em... Lol 63 was being funny - speaking like Yoda he was! 😃

    • 4th May - May the Fourth / Force be with you. Star Wars Day.

We were trying to find Star Wars related postcodes who have won in the past.

    • What you are all talking about, no idea I have.

    • ST4 4AR, WA1 1RS, TR11 0GY, = (star, wars, trilogy)

      DA4 4RK, S1 1DE, SP4 4CE, = (dark, side, space)

      DA1 2TH, YO0 0DA, LE1 1AA, = (Darth, Yoda, Leia)

      C3 3PO, C1 0NE, S1 1TH, SA1 3RE = (C3PO, clone, Sith, sabre)

      any more?

    • We tried to find Star Wars related winning postcodes yesterday so that we could do a social media post about it. Sadly the perfect postcode, ST4 7WS, does not have any entries on our site. I don't know whether my colleague was able to find something for a post in the end.

    • Was wondering why I kept getting ad breaks in my SF films for orchestras playing Star Wars music recently, .. May the 4th be with them too.

    • May the 4th be with you!

  • Useless again, nowhere near any!!

    • Wibble.

    • You can do that, in fact register any postcode you like so long as you only register once, but it changes nothing except your registered postcode. Active members are randomly drawn, and everyone has the same chance.

    • Hi Gerald,

Have you tried moving to somewhere with a better postcode?

    • Each member’s entry has the exact same chance of being selected in a draw. If one postcode is entered more than once it is more likely to be selected (like names in a hat). If a certain postcode area (eg. BA1) appears to not win often that is because there aren't many entries for that area. If a postcode area seems to win more often it must mean that there are more entries from that postcode area.

You can look up how many entries there are from a postcode here: https://pickmypostcode.com/entries-search/

You can also look up past winning postcodes (or partial postcodes) here: https://pickmypostcode.com/past-winners/

You can check winners in your area here: https://pickmypostcode.com/winners-map/

You should find the ratio between entries and winners is roughly the same for different postcodes/areas. There is no geographical bias in the selection procedure. The computer doesn't know (or care) where anyone lives! (For our Scottish players - Scotland has about 8% of the U.K population and accounts for about 8% of our winning postcodes!) Also, if you're only checking one draw per day, then you're missing out on many more opportunities to win!

      https://help.pickmypostcode.com/article/16-what-are-the-different-draws

      https://help.pickmypostcode.com/article/13-what-time-are-the-draws

Lastly, please do remember this is a lottery, you're best to hope you'll win, not expect to! :)

  • Getting closer on the stackpot. Only the last two letters were wrong today. 🥴

    • I think the tl;dr take-away from this is that 99% of whinges are inevitably incorrect 🙂

    • Nope. I don't think anyone will get the last one. Bob was the first right with ZE and HS, but the area with fewest active members is Central London. Last 90 days...

EC x 1 (East Central London)

      HS x 1 (Outer Hebrides)

      ZE x 1 (Shetland)

WC x 0 (West Central London)

    • HS, ZE and KW?

    • Nor are the Welsh quite often. Wrong country anyhow 😼

    • I’m still not v good on Welsh ones

    • ❎ Nobody has them all yet, or even between you. I'll give you one that's right: ZE ✅

    • IIRC, IM has come up twice or more in recent weeks - I think it came up twice on one day, or at least on consecutive days. GY may be one of the three, although a while back I remember being surprised to see it as often as I had in a short-ish period of time.

How about PO, BT and CF? 😂🤣😉

    • I'd guess at ZE and IM - not sure about the 3rd but GY is probably right, Bob. I don't even know where HS is! I'll go and look it up....

    • My guess is HS, ZE and GY, but maybe one in wales ?

    • There are only 3 postcode areas (with very low membership) which have only come up once in the last 3 months. Let's see if Anonymous can guess correctly 😏

    • Could they be ZZ or YY

    • @Anonymous do you live in a hermitage? Which rare 2 letters are they? 🤔

    • Only seen the First Two letters correct once in last 3 months !

  • Good morning all

Has anyone else seen the BE SAFE ad boxes?

When you click on this it says

"Double Verify have deemed the content of this website to be unsuitable for its advertisers brand"

It's not just PMP I am seeing it on it is everywhere.

    Anyone else

    • My ads have any rubbish, I don't really notice them.

Local trees in full bloom, dropping petals everywhere & scenting the air.

I noticed something orange on my balcony today, one of my 3ft holly trees now has wee bunches of flowers on it, & chives/garlic & other bulbs are about to bloom too..

Some hyacinths that I planted in tubs were in bloom last 3weeks.

    • I opt for personalised ads and at the moment my ad slots are full of pretty shrubs and flowers as I’ve been browsing garden centres. 🌸🌼

    • @baldkokneeninja I haven't heard of Be Safe so not sure if it's genuine. Is it a Pop-up ad? Never click on a Pop-up ad. It's always a scam. I don't think anyone genuine even still uses them anymore. And if it's following you about it could be you possibly have a virus/malware force-feeding you scam ads. If it's in an ad slot on the web page then it's no doubt just a scammy Google advert. In which case it's perfectly normal, everyone in the universe gets those.

      See https://help.pickmypostcode.com/article/113-what-to-do-if-you-see-a-dodgy-or-inappropriate-advert

    • @baldkokneeninja

Do you use Skyscanner? See doubleverify.com for more information.

Warning - that site is flagged as privacy risk and it uses tracker scripts.

    • I don't know, I never see adverts unless I look for them.

    • Never seen it either.

    • I haven't seen the advert and didn't click on it, but it opens fine in Google for me.

    • No, I haven't seen it, & I certainly would not click on it if I did.

  • What ever I win will be donated to Ukraine 🇺🇦, they are 1s at most need, every one should count there self's very lucky

    • Remember to watch out of fake charity scams claiming to be fundraising for Ukraine. There are a lot of them about just now unfortunately.

    • Except those were donated to the military and I'm not sure they were for aid distribution, but it was only 40 odd IIRC anyway. For sure I've seen none in use in the aid centres so far.

    • The USA Has donated Toyota land cruisers to use for distribution

    • 👍👍 Aid is getting thru to many areas but due to the indiscriminate shelling they're short on transport in some to distribute it to more remote villages, so if anyone is considering donating there are fund raisers for such. There's also many hundreds of stray pets who've lost their owners and they're short on pet food.

    • 💚🇺🇦💚

    • Bless you Valleyboy 😌

  • Hi Everyone, hope everyone is safe and as well as can be. I just want to say Thank you, I enjoy coming on here and checking my postcode daily, however I’m quite upset to see the amount of people moaning that they haven’t won anything or that they only won a small amount. You should be ashamed of yourselves this site is providing us with the chance to win money with no outlay, essentially free money and greed seems to take over. Please just be grateful that we are given this opportunity if your not happy then stop participating. There is so much sadness and uncertainty in the world at the moment please just try to be kind to everyone as you don’t realise how negative comments affect people. Sorry for rant. Thanks again Pick my postcode for the opportunities that you give us.

    • Tweek,no tar brush aimed at you. None of your posts or replies even came into my head.

    • The thing is admin staff are paid to be nice, it's their job. The general public aren't and are free to think someone is a donkey if they choose. I'm sure even Em has thought some naughty thoughts when reading some of the emails 😅 Personally I think the replies have been nicer because the OPs have been nicer in the first place. @jon I hope that tar brush isn't being waved in my direction. I don't think I have ever contacted an admin to have a post removed here or anywhere else 🤔 Except for reporting trolls on Facebook but that's perfectly normal for FB and I doubt they actually have any humans.

    • Well said Em, the moderate moderator.

    • Nice one Em, back atcha.

    • So, are you meaning Jon, that I should try to answer questions first so that the conversation is kept polite?

: ) So that people know I am watching. It'll work during a working day but not evenings and weekends when my office hours are up.

Yes, I do have to take things down when certain words or names are used. If someone doesn't want their comment removed, they shouldn't use those or hint at them either. If I miss something there are many who help me by emailing me and I am always very grateful.

This current conversation does not need removing yet. So far people are just stating their opinions. Please continue to be polite while sharing your opinions and hopefully this can stay up. I can see how it could turn, but I am hoping it won't. I'll be keeping my eye on it. Have a good afternoon and evening everyone.

    • @Alcito, I'd say nearly 100% bang on- reckon about 1/2 a dozen of the same peeps put complaint's into admin & Em will take that post down. Usual suspects (the one's who you don't agree with)who i use a name for, that for some reason when i use it now that post is taken down? Have you all noticed that Admin have been answering a good few questions this week? & how polite peoples replies have been? Funny or what?.

    • @Alcito - Why do you again try to disrupt anything positive like at Easter? Do you remember the saying ‘If you’ve nothing nice to say, say nothing at all!’ To me the boards are for socialising with other members, sharing jokes, quizzes, telling stories, making peoples day a little bit better with a few nice words, celebrating wins & most of all to be kind, plus advising & encouraging new people like so many regulars and admin do daily xx I’m not as regular as I’d like to be because of my health but I love PMP & especially the kind, generous & supportive people I’ve come to know xx I do hope you one day can embrace hope & positivity. It’s good for the soul xx

    • @Alcito, admin only remove the inappropriate threads or remarks, not interesting ones.

As the Forum Etiquette states .....

Please respect the moderators. They have final say on what is allowed on the site.

    • It's what these boards are for, Trackie. Moaning cos you haven't won; "Oh, look, only 1 digit/2 digits/3digits out, getting closer" (as if!); or "I've won, congratulate me!" Just look at the rubbish below. Any interesting threads are soon removed.

    • Right On, Costs nothing & helps pass the e time.

    • Excellent sentiments, Trackie77 - if only everyone on here thought the same way👍!

      LLAP 🖖!

    • 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

    • 💚

    • Very well said. I won a flash fiver and was over the moon. It's not every day you get free money😀

    • Very well said, I completely agree. I too see so many trolls but I never feed them, if we'd all agree to follow suit then they'd most likely get bored and wither away 😁

    • Nicely said 👍

    • 👍🏻

    • Take a bow Trackie77, well said! 🙌🏻👏🏻

    • Well said! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤️

    • 💓

    • And a 👍👍👍👍from me too

    • I thoroughly agree Trackie7711. 👍 I very rarely comment nowadays as the site is tainted by the trolls that constantly post comments to wind people up and to get a response. Genuine people have signed up to this knowing full well how the site works, thanks to Chris. 🙂 The admin team and also the wonderful regulars who try and educate these trolls are wasting their time and efforts sadly. Best thing is to enjoy PMP as it is intended to be, don't react to the attention seeking trolls and most importantly remember it's completely free! 🙂

    • True & well said 👍👍

  • I also have been checking out my postcode on here for a long time. As they say You Have To Be In It To Win it. I am hoping to win one day.

    • We all are hoping to win & most of us are still happy to see that someone else has won instead.

      Good luck Kathy.

    • 👍👍

  • I've been following this site for years without any success even a £10 win would make my day. My current Bonus is £20 (PO7 4**)

    • Wibble.

    • Jumping on the Bandwagon Clyde?

    • Fair point but Chocolate Spaniel is correct. I'm just fed up with the moaners but I've had a nice day and I wish you all well going to enjoy life

    • Me too, but to be fair, this one didn’t complain, just made a factual statement

    • Just wishing Anons would stop complaining 🥱

    • @Tweek - Can't be many sectors left undrawn, but I can't find that one either, incl. on the Mini draw.

    • @Anon To be honest, considering how often people complain about PO coming up all the time I'm actually quite surprised your postcode sector has not been drawn before.

    • Well said Tracy.

Hope you're checking the Stackpot twice a day, before and after 9pm, as it is drawn twice each day.

    • I check every day all 9 draws, I have won on the £5 bonus draw and on the flash draw, back when my bonus was a few pounds more than yours is now. Now my bonus is £200+ I have been doing a few surveys and taking up a few offers over the time I have been a member, I don't expect to win I am just hopeful like most people on here, it is free. we all have the same chance but only if you are checking all the draws, if you don't check in within a week your account is frozen until you log in again.

    • Only a couple of years if your bonus is £20 I guess, as 3p per day equates to £10.95 a year. Are you checking 9 draws a day?

  • Bah humbug !! I got excited seeing CO15 3** then the last 2 didn't match :'( Looking on Maps it's a 3 minute walk from me. I have won once before several years ago when my bonus was small, but now my bonus has built up more so would like a repeat please :)

    • I crack them & put them on the shed roof for the birds.

    • @CN I must be an unofficial member of the SRP because I yeet them all into my neighbour's garden.

    • @hevh - Go for a walk and join the snail relocation program. It's very cathartic 😏 👍👍

    • Wouldn't we all. Congrats on the first win though 🥳

  • Last two letters wrong again but never mind.

Yesterday we went on a day trip to the Buckingham Railway Centre. Got my fix of steam and smoke. Had a few rides up and down the track. Very interesting museum there where I spent a long time. Wasn't too crowded as the weather was a bit iffy.

    • One day last summer, I was Guard on a train at the Welshpool & Llanfair railway, and the steam loco (1902 vintage) broke down, and we had to use a diesel. Worst part was - a retired steam fireman had been brought by his grandchildren as a birthday treat. I did talk The Management into giving them a couple of Comps for another day. Hope he made it!

    • I thought that Alley1940 was just being silly. 😊

    • @Gerald Parker, Alley 1940 would seem to suggest an age of 81/82 so a bit older than you.

    • I'm probably the oldest at 78. born when the bombs were dropping

    • @Alley1940 - You claim to be older than the train, but the Flying Scot locomotive was completed in 1923 and named after the train - So if the 1940 in your name means what I think it does...

Edit: Oops, just noticed Bob beat me to it!

    • Never done The Flying Scotsman even though I've lived there all my life. I've always wanted to travel along the Trans-Siberian Railway but I doubt that is going to happen any time soon now.

    • @alley 1940, that must make you the oldest on here. It was named in 1922

    • Sorry Alley1940, some more details about the dog's way's-if your dog allows you that is!! Thank's.

    • @Vange - yes that dog certainly had a connection with me.

@jonpark - sorry I don't quite know what more details would you like? The Flying Scotsman or the dog?

    • @Alley1940, any more details-sounding good?.

    • @Alley1940 - That's amazing, what a clever dog.

    • We had lunch in a pub today & because it was busy we went upstairs & ended up watching "the key" being passed between trains.

I've seen the Flying Scot a fair few times but I've not been on a train pulled by it.

    • I couldn't even hazzard a guess as to how many times I travelled on The Flying Scotsman. Now people line up to see it. They don't line up to see me and I'm older than the train LOL.

I was living and working in London and my parents were in Edinburgh. My Father had a Cocker Spanial Dog which he had taught to do several tricks.

When I arrived in Edinburgh for a visit my Father asked me which train I had been on. When I told him he said the dog was acting funny at that time. After that my Father knew exactly which train I was on plus the exact time I got on the train.

    • I remember travelling on steam trains Cork to Dublin in the auld 1950's, Glasgow to Bournemouth overnight on holiday in 1960, Glasgow to London on the Caledonian when we moved in 1961, & KX to Yorks in 1966/7 for boarding school. Close the window quick Fred, we're going into Peascliffe tunnel!

Since visited Derby & Crewe engineering works & saw carriages repaired & the first diesels, electrics & Pendalinos made. Had a few metal BR badges too, wore them on special rail excursions, dunno where they went. In my teens visited Bressingham, Tenterden & York rail museums inc Mallard & Bluebird.

Saw the Flying Scotsman recently being towed into Bo'ness rail museum at midnight for de-coking between trips a few years ago, & watched some special trips departing EH Waverly. I really miss steam engines, the sight & smell polluting everything, those were the days.

    • My friend and I, were discussing our station and the steam trains that used to run through it yesterday. We both remember lying in bed listen to the whistle as it approached the bridge a mile away, open countryside. They reopened the station but no whistle any more.

  • Wow LE7 7GF - you don’t let the grass grow under your feet, do you…! Congratulations, hope you had a good bonus to go with your stackpot win!

    LLAP 🖖!

    • 🙄

    • Claim rates so far this year (Stackpot)...

      9am - 41¼%

      9pm - 11¾%

    • @Lolli, best guess, newbies just not reading the Rules and FAQ to know there's up to 9 draws a day.

    • The good old days, eh Lee Lee?! Strange tho to think now there are some draws with no claims at all. Wonder what changed...? 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • Zero claims on last nights 9pm draw again.

    • Yes, well done that early claimant. 😊

I remember those days when half the Stackpot was claimed by lunch time. 🙃

  • Just claimed the £100 mini draw, many thanks for this after a really bad day. My 2nd win in nearly 6 years, woohoo.

    • Bonus only gets added if you win. Check draws daily (1p for 1st 3), do surveys, offers & referrals to increase it.

The people at top of bonus leaderboard would be happy with even the smallest shared win, ... or wasted a heck of a lot of their time.

    • How do I get more bonus & what can it be used on?

    • Bonus of £130 on top

    • How much bonus did you get on top of it? Had i won the £100 mini draw i would of won more than double that with the bonus

    • Many thanks for all your replies, they brought a smile to my face. Hope you win soon too.

    • Nice to hear Matjay45, gives us all hope 👍 Enjoy your win 🍾🎉🎈

    • Well done Matjay45, you lucky person.

    • Matjay45, Congrat's - they say 3rd time lucky, you maybe on for a clean sweep. Fingers crossed & don't forget to SHOUT it from the rooftops.

    • Congratulations on your win 💰💰💰

    • Congrats Matjay45 and hope your days are better

    • 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

    • Congratulations! 🎉 🍾 🥂 💐

May this be a much nicer day for you today & onwards 🙏🍀

    • Congratulations Matjay45 and I hope you get a 3rd win soon. 👏👍

    • 🥳🥳🥳

    • Congratulations, good luck for a 3rd win. 💰👍😀

    • congrats

    • Ware wibble 👍👍

    • Congratulations 💐

    • WooHoo, Well Done! .., Ready for your hat trick?

    • So pleased for you Matjay22 congratulations

    • Congratulations, Matjay45, and well done for actually bothering to look - the minidraw is very rarely claimed…!

    • Happy Birthday Susiewoo2 - I’m getting the mini cheese Pasties and roulades packed. Do you prefer trifles or Black Forest Gateaux?

Wound up the kit helicopter last night - if anyone needs picking up, I have a strong rope.

    • Honest answer. Extended character sets in MS Word using 'insert' and 'symbol'. There are all sorts of weirdnesses in there that can be copied and pasted. There are also subscripts and superscripts to play with:

      ECHO, echo, ᵉᶜʰᵒ ₑ꜀ₕₒ👂🏻

    • @Trekker22, there's an app for that! 😁

    • ɐǝpᴉ ou ǝʌɐɥ I

    • How the hell do you DO that without moving to Australia…🦘?

      LLAP 🖖!

    • Rofl ain't that the truth 😂

  • I’m still waiting After 5 years nothing

    • Ahh I get it now 😄 I thought it was to do with Assynt, I didn't notice the patients. Thanks @Sandy🐸 And sorry @Moncapitan49, nothing ruins a joke quicker than someone saying "I don't get it" 😌

    • @Tweek - If you look back, it’s the difference between patients and patience!

    • Heres the the next 5 years!

    • I didn't get it 🙁

    • @Sandy aka Froggylady - I thought most of us had & tetleyt definitely did.

    • @Moncapitan49 - Well, I got the reference to doctors, even if nobody else picked it up!

    • What are you, a Jehovah's witness? Maybe not, 5 years is pretty short. I think they've been waiting since around 1914 and still no win.

    • 😂😂

    • Is Assynt a doctor 😂

    • Saeid - Who promised you a time scale for your win? Tell me and I’ll send them a stern look. 🤨

PS. Lots of us here from the Start - 11 + years. 😀

PPS. Over a million members have registered since then. 🙃

    • The buses are continually re-routed, it's not worth them removing unused stops.. Not many use them these days. You must have the patients of Assynt.

  • It would be a bonus to win a prize.

    • No, it would be win a prize to get a bonus.

  • I couldn't get on site with the link or the internet. Tried another tablet and the internet, yay!

    • Thanks @A Nick Name. I used to make it, long ago. Was a good fund raiser when I lived in SW London for charity, as cheap ingredients. Will look up the recipe source you suggest. Much nicer than gloopy fudge.

** just had a look… I used to make it without the condensed milk they use. Think the recipe came from my parents neighbours.

Nice to see Cranachan… nicest I’ve had was at Gleneagles… raspberries grow in the hedgerows in Perthshire so we ate lots!

    • @Dee. Not sure if you were serious but I found a recipe for Scottish tablet on scottishscran.com It's very easy to make, only 4 ingredients. I used a thermometer to get it to 120° not realising it was in fahrenheit as there was no indication on it. I ended up having to reboil it but it was still really tasty, just not as smooth. For a first try it was excellent. Keep an eye on it, keep stirring and get it to 120° Celsius and in 50 mins you'll have all the tablet you want. I'll be making more soon.

    • @Barrie. I love Laphroaig but wouldn't dream of adding it to Scottish tablet, it would ruin both the Scottish tablet and the Laphroaig.

    • Susie, no, on my fourth different painkillers and they don't work. But they have different side affects, so not getting bored, yet. I had to call my pal and tell her she was correct, pleurisy can't be diagnosed over the phone.

    • Tablet is awful, it's just sugar.

A mate gave me some Laphroaig tablet & it was a waste of my favourite Malt, we ended up using it to sweeten custard.

    • Please may I have a Scottish tablet? My favourite treat but nobody has one here in the deepest south!

    • I tried logging onto the site on a Scottish tablet and nothing seemed to work. How many people will swallow that one.

    • Feeling better?😀

  • SA Swansea area again, I can feel a win for me, in my bones.

    • I live just down the road from Clevedon (Backwell). 😆

    • Swiss Valley, lovely name, I used to go to school in Swiss Valley in Clevedon, Avon. (or Somerset as it has reverted to.)

    • Valleygeezer, I have a friend in SA14, Swiss Valley, I can't get him to sign up.

    • The last time I was in Swansea was for a wedding & I spent a pleasant hour in a nice pub while the religious went to church.
