Pick My Postcode’s Survey Draw
Your chance to win £50 or more!
Winning couldn’t be easier, all you need to do is answer today’s survey questions for a chance to win £50 or more. Can’t see a survey? Don’t worry, we don’t always have one, the winning postcode will automatically be revealed after a few seconds.
Most days there will be a short survey to complete so you can collect bonuses and uncover the winning postcode to see if you are the winner!
Our surveys are much quicker and simpler to fill in than those old-fashioned online paid surveys you may have seen. Completing a survey only takes a few minutes at the most and unlocks your chance to win today’s monetary prize.
Don’t forget to check back every day to answer the questions and see if your postcode is a winner. If you’re a winner but you don’t check your postcode, the money prize rolls over to tomorrow’s lucky player – so don’t miss out!

Today's survey draw question:
What powers your main car?
Diesel; Petrol; Diesel/petrol & Electric (hybrid); Electricity; Don't know; I don't have a car; Prefer not to say
I mean, for the main part, fair enough. But.... "Don't Know?"
So the pixies keep it moving do they?
See that socket in the side? Don't pour petrol in it. See that hole that smells of petrol? Don't plug it into the mains.
Seriously worrying.

Interesting fact: Electric cars and bikes have been commercially available since the 1890's. Amazing to think how different things could have been.
Em

Well I highly doubt any PMP members drive the Batmobile as their main car, since the question was "What powers your main car?" I know there are companies that let you rent a Batmobile for the day (not from personal experience, I saw it on The Big Bang Theory) but I am sure that the rental Batmobiles are not atomically powered and do not have turbines.
And thanks for the video, I have not seen the more modern Batmans let alone an older one, so yes I had no idea what you were referring to.

All the above mentioned additives would probably save you on fuel costs as your vehicle will stop working. Definitely save you fuel cost but you will get hefty repair bills to fix it.
The simplest way to save on fuel costs is to sell your vehicle.

These stories are great 😄 (and sad @Enver 😥)
I once had a big veil-tail betta that was a nutter and used to try to bite my hand through the glass. And a tiny frog that got out somehow and I found three days later stuck to the carpet. And I once bought a pair of juvenile female bristlenose pleccos but turned out one of them was hiding a secret and one day I woke up to the tank filled with hundreds of tiny little baby pleccos (and quite a few that had wandered a little too close to the water pump and were sucked into oblivion). Rehoming was a nightmare but luckily I found a few aquarium shops that took them. I gave up keeping fish after that 😅

Ladyfriend got an wee tank & some fish cos she liked the massive 500Ltr aquarium I had in London (with 2 Golden Orf, 2 silver ghost Koi & 2 longtail goldfish). She tipped the whole bottle of Fresh Start (live bacteria) in it thinking it was Methyl blue (oxygenator), instead of a drip or two. They didn't survive despite throwing them in fresh tap water, then changing the water in the tank & washing the gravel quickly. It ate their fins away in a few hours.

You were possibly pre-screened out of the first survey so it punted you to a different one it thought you might be eligible for. Some companies do that (looking at you Your Surveys) but it's often not very obvious that it's happening. Also the length of time surveys take can vary wildly depending on what answers you give, the stated time is just the minimum. And some don't count screening time. Every survey company will no doubt calculate it differently. And some are just bad. But I've had a £6 survey that stated 15 minutes and took only 8 minutes.

I got through all three inboxes yesterday and answered everything that came into PMP, WAD and FML. Chances are your email provider has blocked my reply to you. My email provider tells me when a customer has viewed my reply and we get the occasional email that says we never responded and when I search I can see that my response was not viewed. Which therefore means that my reply probably got blocked by that persons email provider. I was all up-to-date yesterday so it was either that or we have not received your email.

I was kicked out of a survey on meat products recently for straightlining. In answer to the questions "In the last three months how many times have you eaten/prepared: beef; lamb; pork; venison; rabbit..." 🐮🐑🐷🦌🐰
I answered "None; "None"; "None" "None"; "None"... Then the trapdoor opened. In a meat survey they really should have asked respondents at the beginning whether they were vegetarian. 🥩🤮

Hi Anonymous, each member’s entry has the exact same chance of being selected in a draw.
If one postcode is entered more than once it is more likely to be selected (like names in a hat).
If a certain postcode area (eg. BA1) appears to not win often that is because there aren't many entries for that area. If a postcode area seems to win more often it must mean that there are more entries from that postcode area.
You can look up how many entries there are from a postcode here: https://pickmypostcode.com/entries-search/
You can also look up past winning postcodes (or partial postcodes) here: https://pickmypostcode.com/past-winners/
You can check winners in your area here: https://pickmypostcode.com/winners-map/
You should find the ratio between entries and winners is roughly the same for different postcodes/areas.
There is no geographical bias in the selection procedure. The computer doesn't know (or care) where anyone lives!
Also, if you're only checking one draw per day, then you're missing out on many more opportunities to win!
https://help.pickmypostcode.com/article/16-what-are-the-different-draws
https://help.pickmypostcode.com/article/13-what-time-are-the-draws
Lastly, please do remember this is a lottery, you're best to hope you'll win, not expect to! :)

Another 21 Pollfish & some others mostly screenouts or took me to blank page, got £4.60p bonus for 3 of them. Maybe worth doing if you have lots of time to kill.
Don't Pollfish give 5p for screenouts or unsuitable surveys anymore? A lot of duplicated general demographics on each, soon as I get into ye survey I get kicked out. Few surveys said eg 20mins, several parts say "This section will take xx minutes", after 25mins I look at the progress bar, says 25%, jumped out & closed window. Pfft. Most are on brands I never use, BORING.

Anonymous, you are not the only one who gets frustrated with them don't worry. But sadly there level of technology is not always at the level that either you our members or we at PMP would wish it to be. Unfortunately, they are out of our control.
All we can do is apologise, add the Screen Out Bonus or the full bonus amount depending on the scenario and our system will remove any links to problematic surveys once enough people have used the reporting tool ‘Bad experience? Report this survey’.
Please email us at admin@pickmypostcode.com letting us know what happened and if possible, including screenshots. Thank you.
LeeLee

I’m certainly finding them worthwhile. 😀
If you complete a survey but don’t get the bonus, just follow the instructions and Admin will check for you. If bonus is due they always add it.
Chocolate Spaniel
So you completed the 'Bad Experience' report and emailed admin@pickmypostcode.com with the full details that they have often explained about. Then they will look into it and if appropriate, credit manually. Em has explained that some companies technical knowhow is not good.
Most of us complete many of the surveys, and know what to do if there's a problem.
There's no obligation to do them anyway, so perhaps think about doing that.

Tried the Your Surveys offer. After my reply to the third ad, the screen announced, “400 Bad Request”. I didn’t check my bonus beforehand, so don’t know whether they paid me or how much. 28p isn’t much for an estimated 15-minute survey anyway, so don’t think I’ll be enticed to try any more of their offers.

@Chocolate Spaniel - No, I don’t use a VPN - but how did Cint/YS know that I wasn’t in the UK? I replied to the “ticket” they sent me, explaining the situation, and they answered very quickly. It appears you can’t complete surveys if you’re not physically in the same country where you’re registered. I had also contacted Em at Admin and later forwarded the reply I’d received from Cint. Emma has now added this feature to the FAQ’s so hopefully it will help others in the same situation.

Apart from being blocked by Your Surveys, I actually was able to log into a Samplicio-us survey - from which I was promptly screened out. Then I got a rare as hen’s teeth Pollfish with all the questions in Spanish! I answered most of them, then ran out of time, unfortunately. Many of the ads I see are Spanish, too. I wonder if it’s because I’m in Spain at the moment?!? But how do they know? VPN?
@LeeLee - commiserations to you, too. I also have a good quality score of 104. Who knows what goes on in their minds? No rhyme nor reason to it.

Sandy, I’m blocked too. However my quality score is “Good” and I have no tickets. Their whole page contradicted itself. 😆

Alcito, please do email us as Choc Spaniel suggested.
Sandy, Your Surveys/Cint systems do tend to block people too quickly, in my opinion. If their system thinks the person is using a VPN or proxy server or if they answer too quickly they will think they are trying to 'play the system. Many members don't even know what a VPN is, so don't understand that given reason, so I do think their system is too sensitive.
Please email us at admin@pickmypostcode.com and grant us permission to share your email address with our contact there and he can get his tech team to look into your block. I have shared with my contact that many people don't know what a VPN is and have politely suggested their system needs reviewing. Whether they will take my feedback on board I don't know.
If the block is because your quality score has become too low, that will reset in three months time but I can ask them to consider lifting the block sooner.

I’ve just been blocked from Your Surveys, I know not why. I filled in their “ticket”, whatever that is and await their reply with bated breath - not.

Don’t know how near the end I was, but after about 20 mins of their estimated 15 (!) I must have been pretty close. Instructions said not to refresh, but I tried it anyway and the 400 page just came back,
I hesitate to call it a scam, but obviously something dodgy about the Your Survey site.☹️

Had a few like that and found that if you refresh the page, it returns and credits, (if you had got to the end that is)

Today's survey Q: Have you watched any of the following films? (Tick all that apply)
Amongst which was listed
"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"
No.
Because the film in this country was given the same title as the book, which was changed for the US American market for fear that US Americans wouldn't know what Philosopher meant.
In the same way that the film Licence Revoked had to be changed to Licence To Kill even though Bond had his licence taken away, or The Madness of George III was changed to the The Madness of King George, on the basis they wouldn't go to see it thinking they'd missed parts I and II.

In answer to @Admin Em - yes, it was the Survey Draw page question. (I wasn't really complaining, just being pedantic. I know it's not the most important thing in the world, nobody died.)
(Spoiler: Actually from Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire onward, someone did. Quite frequently.)
And @Gwanny, I understand that to be a true story about The Madness of King George. At least that's what Alan Bennett claimed, and he's not averse to a little embellishment. Great film if you've never seen it by the way. With Nigel Hawthorn and Helen Mirren you can't go wrong.

Was the film question ours, in our blue box? If it is, I can make the argument that we are a UK site and the name should be the way we know it. : ) But if a company is paying us to do a poll we might have to stick to their wording.
(Don't worry we never share any data, we just share percentages: "_% out of x number asked have/have not done this or feel a certain way")

I remember them, Lol 63. Those really were the days.
Lol 63

When I was in senior school I was given 5p a day for the bus, which was 3p in the morning and 2p in the afternoon because it was off-peak.
If I walked instead (2.4 miles each way) by the end of the week I could buy a 25p Airfix kit from the series 1 range. Those were the ones which had all the parts in a clear plastic bag with the folded instruction card stapled to the top. The newsagent had them all dangling from a display carousel.
I suspect that Airfix kits have increased in price a bit since then, and the bus fare would no longer be 3p/2p.
Bolanchild

Tweek is correct about the 5p's mounting up. I should know, I have had tons of them!!
Chocolate Spaniel

@Tweek, Ipsos give you 3p (sometimes multiples of) and Nectar Canvass give you 2p, Lifepoints do 2p as well.

Soon mounts up though 🙂 You'll be rolling in 5p's eventually. Plus I don't think anywhere else gives you 5p for being screened out.

Those of retirement age have the time to complete surveys so that age bracket gets filled up very quickly. They want a nice even spread between demographics.
Sorry if I am telling you something you already know : )

Sorry about the estimated time very often not being close to the actual time taken. Our system can only go by the information their systems give us. We do appreciate the frustration.
All we at PMP can do is apologise for problems/frustrations, manually add the Screen Out Bonus or full bonus amount depending on scenario and our system will remove any problematic ones once enough people have used the reporting tool ‘Bad experience? Report this survey’.
I do feel the frustration. Please do email us if you need to - admin@pickmypostcode.com

They are all voluntary. Most surveys give you an estimated time. Pick and choose whether to start, stop or continue.
Most of us are constantly screened out. It’s nothing personal.
Truly, if you get so irritated with lengthy surveys, just don’t do them. 😉

If you don't like the length to bonus ratio don't do the survey but sometimes you get rejected very fast for a 5 pence bonus.

Today I was surveyed "Do you have a season pass for any of these cinema chains?" To which my answer was no.
It used to be yes, until Cineworld continued to monthly direct debit me for 3 months after they'd closed their doors for the Covid pandemic and started charging me again the moment they reopened despite nobody having made any new films in the previous 2 years, and anything which had been completed had been released straight onto Netflix in the meantime.

Hi LeeLee…. Yes, depending on the time you go they do have live music, sometimes a string quartet, sometimes even a bit of opera! Agree about the meals there - when we went with our friends one of them enjoyed their chocolate dessert so much she actually licked the plate…!😋

Hi A N N…. Yes, I totally agree that the place definitely isn’t to everyone's taste, but it is - erm…- interesting, to say the least. We went there a couple of years ago with some friends from the ‘States and they found it fascinating - a change from the “cookie cutter” types of restaurant that you usually get in London.. If everyone liked exactly the same things, the world would be a boring place, don’t you think!

Trekker22 Just googled it out of curiosity as I'd no idea what you meant. The restaurant is bad enough, in my opinion, don't know if I could stand to eat there, not to my taste, but the toilets are enough to put me off my dumplings.

If you’re interested in the decorations that can be seen in Gent’s toilets (not that I am, of course….Ahem..!), I suggest you visit a London restaurant named Sarastro’s, in Drury Lane. The place itself is worth a visit just to see the decorations (you wouldn’t think there was that much red and gold paint in the world…), but the loos… Oh my, the loos…. There used to be a warning before you went in - not sure if there still is, but you definitely get an education…😲🫣! Food’s not too bad, either😋!

Someone trying to promote Mr Holmes? Everyone's going to be watching it now just to see the cinema. It certainly got me interested as I know of an independent in Skipton and wondered if it was that one. My favourite part of the cinema is the gents toilet, it's papered with old comic book paper. I spent more time in the cinema but the loo is worth a view. Don't know what the ladies is like, probably little furry kittens, or is that sexist?

We have a great, independent, charity supported cinema in our town: never go anywhere else. If there's something I want to see, I just wait till it comes there. It was featured in the film Mr Holmes with Ian McKellen.
